On the Saint Medard road and close to a beautiful forest, dominating the Indre valley, stands the pretty Bonne-Nouvelle chapel. Rebuilt out of local stone around 1880, it was originally built during the 15th century. According to the legend the chapel was ordered by a girl named Jeanne de Paray who wanted to raise a chapel if her fiancé, Jacques of Châtre, companion of Joan of Arc, returned safe from the war. Not so long ago, the chapel was still a very attended place of pilgrimage.
